Reservation Terms and Conditions 2025/26
1. DAY TRIPS and SHOWS.
Full Payment required on booking.
2. MULTI-DAY TOURS
Payment of your deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment is due no later
than the
date stated.
*Late Reservations: Full payment is required on booking.
Please note that prices may be subject to change from 30 days before the departure date; this is
due to the various suppliers’ cancellation / rebook policies.
3. CANCELLATION POLICY
• Domestic travel: Cancellation within 60 days prior to departure will incur the loss of the
Deposit
paid. Cancellation within 45 days prior to departure will incur the loss of 100% of money paid.
• Amended Flights on Booking from standard package: Booking becomes nonrefundable from
confirmation
date.
• International Travel: Booking becomes nonrefundable from confirmation date.
*For everyone’s convenience we have packaged Travel Insurance into our tours set price. Please
advise us if you prefer not to have your tour insured and we will amend the pricing for you.
4. HOLIDAY DETAILS AND CONDITIONS
Please read the newsletter carefully regarding those items included in the price. No allowance or
refund can be made for meals, accommodation, excursions that you don’t do.
No.8 Tours strives to provide a safe, enjoyable and memorable travel experience for all passengers.
Passengers must advise No.8 Tours, in advance, of any physical, medical or other special needs that
require assistance. If travelling from overseas, it is your responsibility to have a valid passport,
all visas, permits and certificates required for your selected tour, and any necessary vaccinations
and to comply with all applicable laws.
No.8 Tours is not responsible for any costs incurred because of failing to obtain necessary visas.
For all Air NZ Domestic flights throughout New Zealand for airport security purposes we now require
a form of photo identification, and your correct names not nicknames.
5. INSURANCE (Overseas Travel).
If travelling from overseas, it is compulsory that you take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage, money and public liability before embarking on a No.8 Tours holiday. Please check that the insurance covers all the activities that you are going to be participating in. Some policies exclude certain activities.
6. IF WE CANCEL OR CHANGE YOUR HOLIDAY
No.8 Tours reserves the right to alter the cost, itinerary or accommodation should the occasion
demand it and are not responsible for additional costs that may arise through events beyond their
control.
No.8 Tours will do their best, at their discretion, to select alternative accommodation, sightseeing
tours and transportation to give you excellent value for money.
7. MEDICAL
Please notify No.8 Tours of significant medical issues so as we can inform you of any potential risks that may present themselves as part of a tour. No.8 Tours reserves the right to deny/refuse a booking on medical grounds. It is your responsibility to bring your medication. If it has been left behind once travelling, please notify your guide, so arrangements can be made to replace this.
8. HEALTH and FITNESS.
If you are not feeling 100% or you have just recovered from a virus or infection, please be prepared to alter your travel arrangements. No8 Tours will prevent our guides from travelling if they are affected by the slightest symptom of illness. At No.8 Tours, we pride ourselves with being able to give personal service to each customer; however, our guides are not qualified to provide individuals who aren't of good able-bodied health, the time and attention they may need to make their tour a memorable experience. We are more than happy for you to join us if you have a caregiver that can come along too and help you along the way.
9. BEHAVIOUR.
No.8 Tours is not a common carrier and therefore can refuse to carry a person whose behaviour is detrimental to the enjoyment of the group. By travelling with No.8 Tours, you agree to accept the authority of the driver/guide and accept their decisions. Our staff are entitled to a safe working environment and our passengers for a great holiday. Any threats to safety, being physical or verbal, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the trip. If a guide requires a passenger to leave the trip no refunds will be given, and the passenger in question will be responsible for their travel costs from that point.
10. Social Media disclaimer
By booking with us, you agree that any photos or videos taken during your experience may be used for our social media and marketing purposes. If you prefer not to be featured, please let us know in advance. We respect your privacy!

Here are some common questions about No8 Tours.
Very easy to do, apply on our website, call us or email No.8 Tours with a request to become a member. We then register your details on the Database and post you, our catalogue. You're travelling companion, friend or family will also receive VIP member pricing even though they aren't yet a member. If they want to become a member too, please tell us, or they can contact us directly.
We encourage you to make your reservation as early as possible - mainly if you are limited to a specific period in which you can travel. Multi-day tours tend to fill quickly.
Deposits are required on booking to confirm your reservation; however, you can make a provisional booking without a deposit. If we are holding your provisional booking and someone else would like to take it, you may be asked to release it or commit by way of deposit. In the past Members have been missing out, as bookings were not confirmed by way of receipted deposit. Provisional bookings that have past the balance due date of the trip will be cancelled.
As a way of showing our appreciation for your custom No.8 Tours provides a complimentary $15.00 travel voucher automatically every time you take a multi-day tour with us. You can redeem this voucher on the next multi-day tour you book. Only 1 Voucher can be applied to overnight tours per person and will be taken off your final balance.
A charge paid by a solo traveler to compensate a hotel for losses incurred due to only one person staying in a room. Most hotel rooms are built and priced under the assumption that at least two people will occupy them.
The price per person for single occupancy is higher than the price per person for double occupancy. ... However, when two people travel together, the cost of the hotel room is divided between the two travelers, so the double occupancy fare reflects a lower rate for each.
Yes, please call our friendly staff to discuss your insurance options.
We can request special dietary requirements for the meals throughout the tour, the details of which will be passed onto the suppliers; however, we can't guarantee that the suppliers can always do this. Some personal preplanning would be advised.
No.8 Tours reserves' Studio Rooms' that include 1 large double bed or 2 separate beds. Special requests that are different to this will be sent to the accommodation provider; additional costs can sometimes occur and will be passed on.
Unfortunately, we are not able to oblige with requests of one-way flight amendments anymore. If you would like to cancel one of the flights, you must cancel both ways and make your own arrangements to join the group.
Bay of Plenty & Waikato
No.8 Tours provides a free home collection and drop off service around the wider Tauranga Area, this being from Waihi Township through to Te Puke.
Waikato - covering Hamilton, Cambridge, Morrinsville, Matamata
Please note we reserve the right to use our discretion for the free pick-up service outside of these towns. A request for this service will be worked through on a case-by-case basis.

You can earn Airpoints with No.8 Tours when travelling on Air New Zealand Flights throughout New Zealand and Internationally, except for Great Barrier & Chatham Island Tours. Regrettably AirNZ Group reservation will not upload the air points anymore. Please bring your Airpoints membership number at the airport to load your points on the day or keep your boarding passes.
If you would like to use your points to pay for your flights, we must cancel the flights and you will need to book the flight directly yourself and use your points at that time. Please contact our friendly staff to discuss this option.
Yes, we do have limits. 23 kgs for your main suitcase and 7 kgs for your carry-on bag. Your carry-on bag should be small enough to fit in the overhead luggage racks. When packing, please be aware that not all accommodation has portage service; however, we are happy to assist if required.
No.8 Tours does operate a daily seat rotation.
New Zealand has ever-changing weather conditions. Please pack for all seasons. Suggestions are as follows: Tidy-casual clothing, light raincoat, comfortable flat shoes, swimming costume, small umbrella, sunglasses, sunblock lotion, insect repellent, torch, camera + video camera, gold coins for laundry, proof of ID, Gold Card, cellphone (if applicable), personal medication.
